Description:

The Waste Water Treatment Company of State capital Düsseldorf realizes a new combined heat power plant at the sewage treatment plant of Düsseldorf-South.
In a new constructed building an engine with an output of 716 kWel. and 608 kWth is installed. The generated power as well as the heat will be used completely in the own power supply network. The power supply is realized by a
ca. 400 m long cable which crosses the sewage treatment plant. A second reserve space will be hold in the new building as well.
The gas processing is located in the basement rooms, where also the connections are located for heat distribution. The CHP plant is integrated into both a standalone building control system as well as in the process control of the waste water treatment plant.
